I don’t think people with other diseases would say that they would want cancer because it’s not as bad as the disease they have. All diseases are bad and scientists all over the world are working hard to find out how to stop people dying from all types of disease.

That depends on your point of view. If you think the worst thing in the world is dying then heart disease kills 1/3 of people. There are lots of bad diseases such as alzheimer’s were someone has to live a very long time with the symptoms.
Diseases affect different people in different ways, often the worst part of the disease is the psychological affects it has on a persons friends and family, such as stress or depression.

Cancer can be really bad for the person who has it and for their friends and family. However, from a larger point of view, you can’t catch cancer.

There are some infectious diseases which can spread rapidly and be fatal. For example, Ebola is a virus that causes your blood vessels to leak. The blood contains the viruses which is how the virus gets from person to person. It is found in central Africa and more than half of people who get if don’t survive.

I think that any disease where lots of people can die is bad. And there is not a lot of point in ranking them. Cancers, heart diseases and serious infectious diseases are all really bad!

personally i think multiple sclerosis is an awful disease, your body shutting down but your mind being fine. Cancer is such an awful disease because the treatments are often invasive and make people extremely ill. Plus theres always the risk taht it may come back (depending on the stage it was diagnosed)
