I’m not sure but usually if your cancer is terminal the doctors can help by giving you strong painkillers. These should help take the pain away.

      I don’t know.

I would think it depends on the type of cancer. And as Ana says, doctors can give power painkillers for pain.

i know two people who have passed away from cancer, both in a hospice. At the end, they were not in any pain and did not suffer as they were given very strong painkillers (morphine). Pain killers block the receptors on nerve endings that transmit pain signals to the brain.

Most of the time doctors can tell when someone is unlikely to survive their cancer so everyone is able to prepare for it and the person who is ill can be carefully monitored to make sure they get what they need – including pain killers. Caring for someone with a terminal illness, called palliative care, is an extremely important job and there are lots of doctors and nurses who work incredibly hard every day to make sure people with terminal cancers are looked after really well.
